Women’s ODI World Cup: Australia Breaks Chase Record vs India

In the ICC Women’s World Cup, Australia created a new record by chasing 331 runs against India, making it the highest successful run chase in women’s ODI history. The match was full of exciting moments and brilliant performances from both sides.

India batted first in the match played in Visakhapatnam. Openers Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal gave a strong start with a 155-run partnership. Mandhana scored 80 runs, while Pratika made 75. Other batters like Harleen Deol (38), Jemimah Rodrigues (33), and Richa Ghosh (32) helped India reach a total of 330 runs in 49 overs.

From Australia’s side, Annabel Sutherland bowled well and took 5 wickets. In reply, Australian openers Phoebe Litchfield and captain Alyssa Healy added 85 runs. Litchfield got out after scoring 40. Ellyse Perry had to leave the field due to injury when the team was at 154 runs.

Beth Mooney (4) and Annabel Sutherland (0) got out quickly, but then Ashleigh Gardner and Alyssa Healy built a strong partnership. Healy scored a brilliant 142 runs from 107 balls before getting out. After two more wickets fell, Perry returned to the crease and scored an unbeaten 47 runs.

With this victory, Australia created a new record by chasing 331 runs against India, which is now the highest run chase in women’s ODI history. This match will be remembered as one of the greatest moments in women’s cricket.
